The new practical motorcycle test was introduced in April 2009.

The test it's self is split into 2 modules, Module 1 – a specified off road manoeuvres test and Module 2 – a road riding test.

Module 1, which should take on average 22 minutes, is conducted in a safe off-road area and consists of slow and high speed manoeuvres. Please click here for more details. Canditates must pass the requirement on module 1 before they are alowed to take module 2.

Module 2, which will be about 57 minutes in length, will consist of the eyesight test, road safety questions and at least 30 minutes of road riding covering a variety of road and traffic conditions and will also include normal stops, hill and angle starts.

JC Motorcycle Training is one of the very few local companies who can offer training for the module 1 test on an area on a private off road area big enough to accomodate the module 1 test as a whole. Our module 1 training area is about 2 minutes ride away from the new test center in Exeter.
